Fall Begins

Good evening everyone,

The first day of Fall has come and we all know what  comes next, not just leaf raking, pumpkin picking, or putting all the summer things away in your yards.  The weather will soon be heading for us and our bodies will be so tired of Cabin fever, "I have nothing to do", or "I'm bored", It is always easier to say things like that then to get into Gods word.

We should be in his word daily, but our lives have been so busy we never have time to do what he is asking of us. I encourage you on the first day of Fall, give God some of your time, regardless how much you have. Ask him for direction in your life, ask him to use you in whatever plan he has for you. Try to step out of your comfort zone and do something different.  Use this time to become closer to him and show him your willing.

The Christian Haitian Education Center has begun, we have 69 children so far this year, there has been new subjects added, like music and art.  The teacher Wilbert Darius just returned from Haiti from purchasing new school books for the students. Earl bought 100 notebooks and each child's parent will purchase one notebook, that way the child will have one for the classroom and they will have one to take home to do homework in. Shipping cost has skyrocketed and it is so hard for our supporters to ship supplies to us, we do have some supporters that have lots of things to get to us and we will try very hard to get them to the D.R.

When I spoke to Earl several times this week, Gabriel was taken to the Emergency room with high fever, he is battling a raspatory infection.  I'm sure it's difficult for Earl with me here and them there,  We did receive good news today, PRAISE GOD!!!!!!! Our residency is finished, Earl and our attorney will be going to Santiago on Wednesday to pick his up and then we will be returning to C.O.N.A.N.I. with our new paperwork, please be in prayer for all these things, it has been a long 5 year battle, but Jesus is the winner in all this and he will reign at the end.

I have been working around the elderly apartment where my mother lives, not am I only helping her, but there are always woman here needing help with the lawns, carrying things in, and needing prayer. I will begin a visiting time with the women here, getting to know each and everyone of them.
My mother is doing great, she is still taking an exercise program at the local hospital here, I keep her walking each day, as long as it doesn't rain, my sister Martha had her Cat Scan and will be taking another 4 weeks of chemotherapy treatments, she will have them every Wednesday morning for 3 to 4 hours each time.  This has been a devastating time for her since we lost Carl, but God is working on her right now and he will help her make peace with all of it, she is attending church with me and that seems to be giving her peace of mind, please keep all of us in prayer as we continue to help each other.

We will have more details on the upcoming mission trip in March on October newsletter, thank you for your support, prayers, and all the things God gives us.
In closing I want to warn everybody that the devil can be very deceitful, you think the Lord is leading you and you fallow. Be careful to check your path with the Lords word.  Thanks for all the support and prayers, God Bless all of you
